Made up of 133 islets surrounding three lagoons, Arno is the closest outer atoll to the capital. Its communities are spread along narrow strips of land where roads become tracks and the lagoon remains central to food, transport and connection. Fishing and coconut production continue to shape everyday life. These photographs explore an atoll where land and water are closely intertwined, and where an apparently simple landscape contains a complex network of homes, livelihoods and relationships.
